Goodbye 2013 and hello 2014! The Underwear Expert had quite a ride this year, thanks to all those celebrities and models out there who gave us ample amounts of material to write about. From pant slips to bulges, this year was filled with exciting celebrity sightings, and much more! We couldn’t have finished 2013 with a bang without our loyal fans who liked, tweeted, posted and shared our many stories. Zac Efron had quite a whirlwind of a year. From bulking up to showing off his bulges on various movie sets, this post came in as the tenth most viewed this year. Zac wasn’t the only one who gave us a show this last April — so did Shaq, Tom Daley, Booboo Stuart and Taran Killam.

Facebook has changed its guidelines around so many time this year, and you know as well as we do, that some of our material is quite scandalous. This special post was a round up of photos too hot for Facebook, but of course, never too risqué for The Underwear Expert. If Facebook can’t appreciate great men’s underwear, we sure can!

We love Colby Melvin! Plain and simple. This go-go dancer, model and human rights activist is as big of a fan of us as we are of him. Everything Colby touches turns to gold, and these photos shot by Rick Day exclusively for us turned out amazing. This year welcomed openly gay country singer, Steve Grand, who took the country music scene and the LGBT world by storm. From his breakout video, “All American Boy,” Steve quickly became a household name and his hit song was played constantly in the TUX headquarters. If you haven’t been following this smouldering singer, he is a huge fan of underwear from the C-IN2 he rocks in his music video to the many photo shoots where he perfectly models off some amazing pairs of undies.
#6 NSFW: Top 5 Celebrity Bulges
By the time April rolled around this year, we caught some celebrities showing their junk off. Once again Zac Efron gave us another glimpse of what he’s packing below. David Beckham hiked up his shorts for us during a Galaxy game, John Mayer channeled Borat’s one piece swimsuit, Jon Hamm free balled while Mark Wahlberg stepped outside and showed us his sunny side up in boxer briefs and a tank top.
#5 5 TV Star Underwear Sightings
This past winter, television series came back in full force and full frontal. We guessed which top television shows and male leading stars would gives us underwear glimpses. We hoped to see hottie Hugh Dancy in Hannibal, Kevin Bacon in The Following, Andrew Lincoln in The Walking Dead, Joe McHale in Community, again, and Jon Hamm in Mad Men. Which ones were we right about? Well, we were really only right about Hugh in Hannibal, who sported a pair of boxer shorts. We got enough of John Hamm’s ham, Joe McHale gets naked enough on The Soup, why was Kevin Bacon in our original roundup to being with, and we are still dying to see Mr. Andrew Lincoln strip down to his skivvies while killing zombies. We have faith it will happen in season 5.

We are still scratching our heads as to why athletes go commando, maybe it’s the wind resistance? The freedom? Or maybe they haven’t found the right jockstrap yet, but we don’t really mind because in the heat of the moment and with all of that adrenaline pumping, things pop out, and boy do they ever.

Mad Man Jon Hamm continued to make headlines all year long for his lack of appreciation for underwear. We saw bulge after bulge from this hunk of an actor, and as underwear experts, the only advice we have for him is to do what makes him most comfortable — even if that means stepping out sans undies.

What you’ve all been waiting for, our NUMBER 1 story for the year of 2013 – and of course it was part of the twerk phenomenon. This isn’t your average Miley Cyrus twerk, but the boys of Andrew Christian took their own spin on this dance move, and hyped it up even more than Miley ever could. We’d watch this video over and over again before we’d ever have to watch her performance on the VMAs.
