Professional tennis player Andy Murray is back to making headlines, but not in the way that you may think. The Scottish superstar recently registered with the Intellectual Property Office, trademarking his name on over a hundred items including branded underwear, boxer shorts, suspenders, socks and lingerie.
Don’t get too excited — it’s highly unlikely we’ll be seeing briefs with Murray’s name imprinted on them any time soon. It seems that his main goal in registering was to ensure that others couldn’t use his name, or fame, in order to make money. Then again, who knows? David Beckham was certainly successful…
